This track takes the brutalist approach to asking how you roll by simply asking
"How do you spend your time? How do you spend your money?"
listeners can thrall in witness to lyrics such as:
Ooompah Loompa Reeses Pieces, Hari Krishna Harry Ramsdens
Mickey Mouse pyjamas, Maharajas dancing in the garden
You won't expect the flight of the bumble bee inspired trumpet solo but it'll sting you none the less.
It's our collective tragic comedy in form of rock and soul revue. I wrote in Manchester for The Good Hurt but we split before I could ever record it with the group so it was only ever played live. To wake the song back up after a slumber I recorded it in New England (see the New England sessions) with my family and a trad roots band but I still wanted that urgent soul revue version with driving horns and big backing.
Finally it’s here with bells on.
Get it in yer sound ecosystem, crank it up, get loose and make some life altering decisions!

“They don’t care about you. They don’t care ‘bout us. Selling it as steak but it tastes like dogfood. If you don’t care ‘bout U then we can’t care ‘bout US they’re selling it as steak but it TASTES LIKE DOGFOOD * THEY’re allowed 2DO what they DO because the rules are for you and me What did you think was going to happen?
